PURPOSE PAYROLL SPECIALIST
The Payroll and Tax Accountant is responsible for the accuracy of payroll computations within the schedule for Cameroun and all Satellite offices. He also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. The position involves stakeholder collaboration, and process optimisation to achieve operational excellence and support organisational goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll Management
- Ensure that payroll computations are accurate and completed within the designated schedule in order to prevent any disruptions or errors.
- Ensure that payroll computations are completed in compliance in labour laws and Company policies
- Continuously improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy, while reducing costs and errors.
- Verify employee bank accounts and set up secure payment processes.
Tax and Social Security Management
- Ensure accurate and timely computation and filing of all taxes and social security contributions across jurisdictions.
- Ensure adherence to local laws and international standards.
- implement tax planning and optimisation strategies to minimise liabilities.
Compliance and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records to support audits and reporting requirements.
- Submit accurate revenue and tax reports on or before the 7th of each month.
- Ensure 100% compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, such as HR, finance, and management, to address payroll-related issues and provide insights.
- Work closely with team members to streamline payroll processes and ensure consistency.

- Prepares and submits accurate payroll reports within regulatory deadlines.

PREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
- Previous experience with , Workday, or similar payroll systems preferred.
- Exposure to payroll practices and knowledge in SAGE PAIE & HR and other softwares.
- Computer literacy and mastery of related business and communication tools. (MS OUTLOOK, MICROSOFT Excel and other office packs)
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, including a proven ability to maintain constructive relationships with colleagues and partners, in person and virtually.
