PURPOSE COUNTRY MANAGER
We’re looking for a dynamic Country Manager in for our client in a Major Media Industry. The Country Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies, managing local teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, building relationships with clients and partners, and achieving financial targets which also includes financial planning, budgeting and cost control
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the strategic leadership and direction to achieve organizational vision, mission and objectives.
- Developing, overseeing implementation, reviewing and monitoring of the entire strategy and ensuring same in line with company’s global strategic directions and overall thematic focus.
- Developing new online content programming initiatives, new partnerships and maintain existing partnerships and actively lead key phases of ongoing partnership programs.
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges, and develop strategies to capitalize on market potential and mitigate risks
- Lead in the development, growth and expansion of the business providing sounding methodological and technical support.
- Oversee and coordinate the business portfolio to ensure the highest level of content quality and accountability, while fostering continuity through building local capacity and developing innovative partnership and contents.
- Participate in national and international content development in line with relevant business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain compliance with local regulations, laws, and standards governing business operations, employment practices, and product/service offerings.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, financial indicators, and market data to track progress towards goals and make data-driven decisions.
- Manage financial budgets, resources, and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness, profitability, and sustainability of operations.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility, reputation, and brand awareness.
- Drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, accountability, and results-oriented mindset across the organization
- Keep abreast of the trends within the environment in the country and internationally
- Undertake diversified local and international revenue-building initiatives to strengthen the Company’s profitability and sustainability.
- Provide regular reports to headquarters on country performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Marketing, Social Sciences, Arts, or related field.
- Master’s degree in relevant field will be an advantage
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a similar capacity
- Ability to write and communicate in English is mandatory
- Strong and proven sales background will be an added advantage
