We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to serve as a crucial connection between our client and their key customers.

PURPOSE SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

The Senior Account Manager will serve as a key liaison between the company and its clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering lasting partnerships. This role focuses on retaining and expanding the client base by aligning internal teams with client needs, driving satisfaction, and delivering value across various services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND PROSPECTING

  • Develop slide decks, hold presentations, and present marketing materials to update stakeholders and partners on a project’s status of an account.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders (Local agribusinesses, Global Traders and Manufacturers, Cooperatives, NGOs, and Government institutions) and ensure smooth and clear communication on project status to all relevant parties involved.
  • Create visibility on client accounts and establish relevant case studies for marketing and branding purposes.
  • Support customer acquisition efforts by assessing information and resource requirements during the proposal, customer evaluation, and supplier selection stages to ensure that the client achieves the best position as a service provider.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

  • Ensure all accounts activities are met and project deliverables are implemented promptly and efficiently, considering budget development and monitoring (this will constitute 80% of your weekly time allocation).
  • Suggest and contribute to continuous improvement in SOPs and workflow procedures and take responsibility in ensuring they are implemented to the latter.
  • Train team members on Products/ Services, support the development of user guides/ manuals, and videos on Mergdata features, supervise client account management, and track quality assurance statistics.
  • Ensure preparation and execution of work plans, following contracts, and other relevant legal documents.

CLIENT SERVICES SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

  • Continuously assess client needs and business objectives as the project progresses to develop initiatives for increasing customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Forging stronger professional relationships with customers, increasing their loyalty, and building trust.
  • Work closely with the Unit Head, Design and Engineering team to manage customer feedback and create a scalable process to manage and prioritise partner requests.
  • Work with the Farmer Services team and Head of Unit to ensure smooth implementation of an exit strategy for transitioning project accounts that require that the client sustains initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in an appropriate field of study
  • 3+ years experience in managing short- or long-term field projects
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills; ability to designate success metrics, strategies to achieve metrics, and ability to motivate team members to participate enthusiastically
  • Demonstrated success in working with low-income populations to access financing and resources, including securing partnerships with financial institutions to provide loans and other financial products to smallholder farmers.
  • Extensive experience working with NGOs, global food companies, social enterprises, development partners in agriculture, and key players in the AgriTech industry, fostering collaborations and partnerships to drive impactful initiatives.
  • Skilled in training and leading teams, drafting project-specific questionnaires, managing data collection processes, and writing comprehensive project reports to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in M&E practices, particularly in areas like deforestation, child labor and trafficking, access to information and training, and climate change, ensuring impactful project outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; especially budget and report writing
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER
  • Strategic flexibility and cross-cultural sensitivity, particularly when under pressure
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Organised and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
