PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

PURPOSE 

We are looking for a PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR who will be responsible for the Management of business process outsourcing activities, and creating a Catalogue for our clients’ entities. You will be responsible for planning, structuring and organizing all procurement and supply chain activities for all our client’s entities. You will be responsible for the development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

• Ongoing value creation with a world-class supply base PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR
• Implementation and improvement of best-practice-based processes (e.g., the leadership of high-value/strategic sourcing efforts)
• Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
• Management of sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, logistics and miscellaneous internal procurement and supply chain support activities
• Assist in the building of a Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) to help transform Procurement, and also support broader transformation of the value chain and the enterprise PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR
• Vet all new suppliers proposed by the business and obtain the relevant approval
• Manage and monitor the purchasing system with supplier details
• Create/delete suppliers in the procurement system
• Follow up on outstanding orders, shipping documentation, and discrepancies raised by Business with regards to price variances.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers, and re-negotiate new contracts with suppliers upon expiry
• Provide spend analysis reports to Operational Managers on Projects.
• Identify slow-moving products to the Merchandising team and actively track the performance of sales mechanisms to clear these products.
• Maintain and update catalog of all preferred suppliers with pricing, manage “once off” suppliers as per the procedure

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

The ideal candidates must: PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

• Have extensive experience in procurement, supply chain, shipping and logistics
• Have at least 10 years of supply management, operational management experience, or experience in the primary service delivery of the organization.
• Have a proven track record of delivering large savings.
• Have Solid operational management and general business skills and savvy
• Have a working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting cost management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management, etc.
• Be a team player at executive levels to collaborate with business units and functional partners like IT, Finance, HR, etc.
• Have In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
• Foster innovation, collaborate effectively, embrace change and deliver superior results
• Foster a sense of urgency to exceed targets, work to exceed customers’ expectations and strive for operational excellence.
• Have experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems, familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as an understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk
