We are looking for a SALES MANAGER in the Generator Business for one of our clients in Import and Distribution, operating in various sectors.

The Sales Manager for the Generator Business will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a sales team to achieve company objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of the technical aspects of generators, functional sales strategies, and customer relationship management.


  1. Sales Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets. SALES MANAGER
  2. Sales Operations
    • Lead Sales Team: Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales professionals. Set performance targets and ensure achievement.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, and partners.
    • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  3. Technical Expertise
    • Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of generator specifications, applications, and technical functionalities.
    • Solution Selling: Provide technical support and solutions to customers’ requirements, ensuring the correct application of products.    •Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to generator installations and operations.
  4. Functional Management SALES MANAGER
    • Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies based on market conditions, cost analysis, and competitive positioning.
    • Inventory Management: Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and manage inventory levels.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to generator sales and installations.
  5. Marketing and Business Development
    • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and events.
    • Business Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence.
  6. Reporting and Analysis
    • Sales Reports: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and business insights.
    • KPI Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary. SALES MANAGER


  • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the generator or related industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of generator products, including installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain technical specifications and applications of generators.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership: Effective leadership and team management abilities.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle customer queries and complaints.
