PURPOSE: cook
To prepare and deliver high-quality Chinese and international cuisine dishes in accordance with the casino’s culinary standards. The Cook ensures consistency, taste, presentation, and hygiene in all food served to guests and staff. The cook prepares high-quality meals for guests and staff in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. They ensure food safety, consistency, and presentation while supporting the culinary team and contributing to a dynamic hospitality experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, season, and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and sanitation in the kitchen at all times.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and stored properly.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to plan menus and improve offerings.
- Comply with all food safety and occupational health standards.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (grills, fryers, ovens, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and kitchen areas
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering
- Follow food safety regulations and casino health standards
- Work efficiently under pressure during peak service hours
- Assist with prep work, plating, and special event menus
- Collaborate with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES: cook
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in professional kitchens (Chinese and international cuisine required).
- Culinary certification preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or culinary role preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Adaptable and calm under pressure
- Commitment to cleanliness and safety
