PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

We are looking for a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR for one of our clients specialized in Paint Manufacturing.

PURPOSE Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the manufacturing operations within a production facility. He/She will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of goods while maintaining high quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES Production Supervisor

PRODUCTION OVERSIGHT

• Plan and monitor productions objectives and team responsibilities/tasks.
• Collaborate with the production planning team to develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely delivery of products.
• Ensure the production process runs smoothly and efficiently, addressing any bottlenecks or disruptions.
• Check and adjust production output according to specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

TEAM MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING

• Impart training to workmen in the production department.
• Provide leadership and direction to the production team, fostering a positive working environment, and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing employees, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.

SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE

• Ensure safe use of equipment and machinery, emphasizing strict adherence to safety guidelines.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, minimizing accidents and injuries.
• Enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet established quality standards and address any non-conformities promptly.

REPORTING

• Submit detailed reports on daily performance, production volumes, and any issues encountered.
• Monitor the performance of production workers, provide regular feedback on their performance, and address any performance-related issues promptly.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement changes, and monitor their effectiveness to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience (At least 3 years) as a Production Supervisor or a similar role in a Paint Manufacturing Environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent in the industry sector especially in Paint Production; A certification in a relevant field is a plus.
• Using production management software and other relevant computer applications.
  

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION / ATTITUDE

• Ability to effectively lead and motivate a production team to achieve targets and meet quality standards.
• Experience in operating and understanding various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Clear and concise communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, other departments, and management.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
• Aptitude for identifying production-related issues, analyzing data, and implementing appropriate solutions.
• English speaking will be an added advantage.
